How To Get Away With Murder 6x03 "Do You Think I'm A Bad Man?" Episode Review
Major Spoilers are included in this episode review. Please read with caution.
The latest episode, “Do You Think I’m A Bad Man?” suffered from a lack of focus as a lot of sub-plots cluttered an actual focus. This is a typical issue with How To Get Away With Murder as they care more about the overall picture than the smaller character stories in progress like Connor’s big mistake with the immigration case and Michaela’s rise to power in the courtroom.
Out of the K4 characters remaining, Michaela is easily the one with the most potential. She is channeling her weaknesses and turning them into strength for the courtroom. She’s Annalise Keating without the hardened experience keeping her at bay. The storyline with that biological father twist is also interesting and it adds to her character development for the final season. Will she get her happily ever after?
Everyone used the immigration storyline to push their own selfish motives. Except Connor, but we focused too much on his “mess-up” that the message about detaining immigrants got muddled. Plus, Bonnie used the immigration case to secure a job with Tegan, who reveals she has a wife. The immigration case was an actual vehicle to push all these other character / plot points. That just doesn’t seem right to do.
The “Missing Laurel” storyline is somehow still going on. Frank is determined and then second-guesses his feelings for Bonnie… I don’t know what’s happening there.
Overall, there was a lot going on this episode. So much more I could mention about this episode, but then I’d get angry. It’s actually exhausting to keep up with those characters who keep lying and don’t trust each other.
