Another filler episode that I enjoyed so much. Joe Kido received unexpected character development that made me love his character even more. The eight DigiDestined are finally together, and they are traveling to a rest area. They are lucky the rest area has a restaurant that offers free burgers to all travelers. We also meet a new Digimon called Burgamon.

Joe Kido’s love for fries was a major highlight of the episode. I wasn’t ready for the kid hating all the other Digimon customers for not eating them. Gomamon points out its hard for Digimon to grab the fries is why. Then the context for Joe’s love for fries was a great treat too. The “Entrance Exams Wars” would’ve been a good title to contemplate “Mimi-chan Wars!”. Oh well. The episode was still enjoyable for the quiet moments we were given. The fillers are much needed after so many plot-driven episodes lately. The delay of the plot is more than welcomed at this point.

Joe Kido wielding Hammer Spark had a similar vibe to Captain American lifting Thor’s Hammer. I was going crazy seeing Joe smash the hammer down with all his strength. I couldn’t believed what I had seen. I will never look at Joe the same way ever again. The episode was perfect for him. Then Kari and Angewomon providing support was nice!!!!
