Digimon Adventure REBOOT Episode 26 “Break Through the Sea Monster Barricade” Review
Major Spoilers are included in this episode review. Please read with caution.
Episode 26—“Break Through the Sea Monster Barricade”—continued Tai, Matt, and TK plus Leomon and his crew crossing the ocean. They ran into Seadramon and Ebidramon. The Seadramon defeated Ebidramon and ate them to digivolve into WaruSeadramon. A MegaSeadramon joined the WaruSeadramon and attacked everyone.
Tai and Agumon—digivolving into Greymon—battled the Seadramons underwater. This was where things started to surprise me because everyone was losing this battle. Matt, Gabumon, and Leomon joined the battle, but they couldn’t overcome the two Seadramons. They were losing a battle they shouldn’t have started.
I liked the next part though. The B-Plot officially ended, with Izzy figuring out a way to stop the boats from crashing into each other. Kari is still there, and nobody cares except for Sora. Then they sort-of cared when Kari started hearing a voice calling for her. She did a cool plot thing, transporting everyone back to the Digital World to save Tai and Matt from the Seadramons.
The animation was beautiful for Sora and Izzy’s comebacks with Garudamon and MegaKabuterimon! Sora and Garudamon’s crimson wing entrance was fire! The B-Group saving everyone from the Seadramons with their Ultimates caught me off guard!
It was an effective way to end the episode. There wasn’t much that happened except Kari has brought everyone back together. Tai is shocked to see his little sister in the Digital World, so that was our cliffhanger. Having everyone brought together helped reignite my excitement going into the upcoming arc. I’m really happy all eight DigiDestined are tackling this next arc together. Please don’t separate them for a while, Digimon Writers.
Thanks for reading this episode review, everyone!
P.S. For your information, blog readers, I started getting into the Digimon TCG Card Game that came out as a “giant sneak peek” on Black Friday 2020. It’s a really fun game—a simplified chess version of the Pokemon Card Game! I’ll likely review and post about the new trading card game when it officially comes out on January 29, 2021. I’m also learning how to play the game myself, but I wanted to bring it to your attention.
I’ll see you all next week in the Digital World!
