Grey's Anatomy 15x25 "Jump Into The Fog" Episode Review
Major Spoilers are included in this episode review. Please read with caution.
Andrew DeLuca’s going to prison, Meredith and Alex are stuck in the chamber, the deadly fog trapped Teddy, Amelia, Owen, Levi, and Gus’s donor outside the hospital, and Maggie / Jackson are out in the woods still… The last part makes me wonder about the pairing. I think the show needs to cut their losses with that romance especially with the season-finale cliffhanger.
Otherwise, this episode was amazing as usual. It’s starting to become standard for Grey’s episodes to be amazing, and their goal is to surpass that expectation. Fifteen years in the business, and the series shows zero signs of slowing down. It had dramatic-filled surgery, near-death experiences, a pregnancy, and jail / therapy found room to get thrown in, too.
Let’s start with Andrew DeLuca. He’s going to jail, but Grey-Sloan is unsure if they should let him take the fall (morals and all). Meredith wants him to not go through with the fall-out, but she’s stuck dealing with Alex and Gus in the chamber. Alex is desperate to keep Gus alive until the donor arrives, and Meredith tells him about Jo’s depression / what she learned meeting her birth mother.
Teddy is in labor, and Amelia is the one driving her to the hospital. They hit road traffic, but they get talking about Owen. Amelia is not interested in Owen (but will always love him), and makes a hint about being bisexual. This is being treated like a big deal from what I saw on Instagram, but I thought they were subtle hints throughout both Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice on her sexuality.
Anyways, Amelia managed to convince a cop to let them through to the hospital, which impresses Teddy.
Owen tapped into his war hero mode and did everything in his power (and beyond!) to get Gus’s donor to the hospital. This sequence also did double duty when Amelia and Teddy caught up with them at the emergency entrance. This is where the groups start dividing up and splitting off.
Gus’s donor saves Gus OMG. Teddy and Owen witness their daughter’s birth together and declare they love each other (Allison!!). This is a beautiful moment ,and honestly I was on Team Teddy during the season 6-8 time, but Koracick didn’t deserve that heartbreak. He’s building the crib at her new house!!!
Levi and Nico make up with each other and want to be official. Levi introduces Nico to his mother! They’re going strong into season 16. Hopefully, Nico gets more screentime with this new development.
Meredith, Alex, and Richard Webber admit to Miranda Bailey the roles they played in the insurance fraud to help DeLuca. This puts Bailey in a difficult position… so she fires them all without blinking. The Original Four is splitting up, y’all! Meredith goes to the police station, tells DeLuca she loves him, and tries to clear things up (cliffhanger!).
Alex helps Jo get the help she needs and goes to the psych ward. Bailey and Alex have a small moment that reminds us that Bailey did not want to fire them. Then, there’s more of the woods. Jackson goes out to the fog to check the situation, and leaves Maggie alone in the car… he does not return and the episode concludes (cliffhanger!).
Overall, Season 16 needs to be here. I need answers. Re-watching Grey’s Anatomy until then.
