Supernatural 14x16 "Don't Go Into The Woods" Episode Review
Major Spoilers are included in this episode review. Please read with caution.
The structure and theme of the episode was interesting. Having Supernatural divide Sam and Dean from Jack was a smart move to see how they trusted each other. The theme of trust weighed the episode down with a lot of emotional moments like the father cop and son, Jack and his new friends, and Sam and Dean realizing they shouldn’t lie to Jack about his powers or why they were keeping him from the hunting trip.
The monster of the week, I honestly thought it was a Wendigo from first season, but it wasn’t. The monster was from Native American lore, and the visual effects on the monster was scary enough to get me. I have grown numb to monsters because of this show. I remember when… getting off topic. Let’s carry onward.
Jack and the friends was fun to watch. I got scared when he tried to do the angel blade trick and impaled the girl in the abdomen. He was desperate to save her, which probably means his soul is intact, and that means he has hope for the final season—season 15 is the last one! I’m so upset. Let’s reel it back…
Overall, I enjoyed this episode a lot. I think the last four episodes of the season will deal with Jack going into the box. I hope that’s not the character’s going to depart. Let me last until the last season, please.
