How To Get Away With Murder 5x14 "Make Me the Enemy" Episode Review
Major Spoilers are included in this episode review. Please read with caution.
I’m officially done with the supporting cast: her students particularly. They’re not working out with what’s been going on this season: Connor, Oliver, Asher, Michaela, and Laurel have overstayed their welcome, and the show itself is running out of ideas and throws the characters where it’s convenient.
Viola Davis is honestly the only actress that matters on this show. Whenever we shift from Annalise Keating to any other character, I would lose so much interest. Gabriel is getting annoying too. The aftermath of him being Sam’s son is not living up to the build-up we had to endure to get there.
At one point in this episode, Gabriel went to Annalise for help with his mom… You do not bother her with such trivial problems, especially one that he can easily handle himself. What a child! Get out of Annalise Keating’s face, she’s too busy seducing Emmett and covering up more things.
The Governor. I’m not sold on her. And she lied anyway. Emmett did not kill Nate Sr, but Annalise gave it to him in the final minutes of the episode. She told him he and his white boys weren’t in charge anymore, and that was amazing. We need to figure out how to give her all of the screentime.
Michaela and Gabriel are blah. Seriously, let’s not talk about this.
Oliver made me proud on how he handled getting his laptop back. He is so charming. The package Laurel received… my mind immediately went to “It’s a bomb!” and I hoped it would go off on them. That would’ve been crazy.
Overall, I’m over season five and can’t wait for the season finale next week. Put me out of my misery, and let’s not renew this show please.
