DC's Legends of Tomorrow 4x09 "Lucha De Apuestas" Episode Review
Major Spoilers are included in this episode review. Please read with caution.
This episode was Mona-centric. I don’t think she’s a bad character by any means. I’m just not invested in her. Legends is getting too crowded, too many characters. Ava Sharpe and John Constantine are adding depth to this show, and Mona has the potential to do the same… it’s just I didn’t like seeing mostly her in this episode when I waited months to hang out with Sara Lance and the crew.
The conflict between Sara and Ava doesn’t make sense. Not Legends nonsense, but a real head turner. Ava is apparently mad at Sara for finding out Hank Heywood, Nate’s father, is exploiting magical creatures, and that threatens the funding. Now, they’re broken up. I don’t know. It’s very upsetting in a dumb way.
Zara and Nate might be a romantic thing? I’m hating it.
Oh yeah, Mona’s a werewolf. I’m so disappointed in the midseason premiere to fully convey how disappointed I am.
